Felted Gotland Wool Clutch Purse
This sweet one of a kind Gotland wool felted clutch purse is hand felted using our own wool from our flock of Gotland sheep. The bag is wet felted using a series of resists to create a seamless purse with an inside pocket. A whimsical design of flowers is needle felted onto the outside of the purse as well as the inner pocket. The bag is lightly wet felted to secure the design in place, molded into shape and allowed to dry. Lastly, a crossbody leather strap is attached for easy carry and a leather snap to keep your contents secure. Start to finish, it takes about 5 hours to complete the bag. This tote is Vermont made, right here on our own farm.
The bag measures approximately 11 inches wide by 8 inches tall. It is quite roomy inside. Dress it up for an evening clutch or carry it with jeans and a t-shirt for everyday use. It could also be used to hold your small tablet.

The bag measures approximately 12 inches wide at the top and 8 inches at the bottom. It is 12 inches tall. The bag has an inside pocket and even a pocket on the outside back that is the perfect size for a cell phone. It is quite roomy inside and perfect for your project or as a roomy purse.

The bag is then lightly wet felted to secure the design in place, molded into shape and allowed to dry. Lastly, leather handles are attached with with stitching. Start to finish, it takes about 5 hours to complete the bag. This tote is Vermont made, right here on our own farm.
The bag measures approximately 12 inches wide across the top of the bag and 8 inches across the bottom. It is 13 inches tall giving you plenty of room inside. It is perfect for your project or to take to market or to pack for a picnic.

Our Blanket’s Story
Each blanket begins with a shepherd and her Gotland sheep, grazing on the mountainside pastures at Grand View Farm in Vermont. She tends to them throughout the year, caring for their lambs and tending to their pastures. In the spring, they are sheared, and the shepherd carefully skirts the fiber, and ships it to a small family mill. The mill spins the wool according to her specifications for weaving. Each blanket is hand woven in Vermont on a floor loom, with special attention to every detail. Every inch of the blankets contain a piece of Grand View Farm, and the lives of those who care for the sheep.
The Weaver
This elegant handwoven blanket is crafted by a local textile artist named Sydney Miller. We collaborated with Sydney to design the perfect farm to home Vermont heirloom blanket. Sydney selects weave patterns that showcase the lovely gray shades of our Gotland yarn, raised right here on our farm.
Caring for Your Blanket
We suggest airing your blanket outside on a sunny day at least once a year. If soiled, wash and rinse with cold water, using a mild soap. Do not agitate while washing, but rather let it soak in the water. Line dry.
Specifications
Characteristic of Gotland wool, these handwoven blankets have a weightiness, characteristic of Gotland wool. The wool has a lovely halo which traps the warmth to ward off the chill. A tad bit of silk was added to the yarn to accentuate the lovely drape and silkiness common to Gotland fiber. The blankets are finished with a rolled hemmed edge or a tassel fringe. Perfect for cuddling under for a nap on cool days. The blankets measure approximately 60 inches in length and 42 inches in width.
