The sheep on Gotland island are named for the island that sustains them. There is an interdependence between the people of the island and the sheep that they raise-each depending upon the other for sustenance and life. Wet felted from Gotland curls, merino wool, and silk, this vest represents that relationship between shepherd and sheep. Gotland wool varies in color from pale silver to dark charcoal gray. This vest was made with dark gray wool locks.
