Handwoven Gotland Wool Rug
Our wool rugs are hand woven on a floor loom using a thick core spun rug yarn. In the spinning process, our Gotland wool is wrapped around an inner core which adds durability to the yarn. Three shades of gray Gotland are used in the spinning resulting in a stripped rug when woven. The rug yarn is packed tightly during weaving, giving a dense squishy surface with a lovely texture. Each rug is bound at either end using a three ply Gotland yarn. Our one-of-a-kind rugs vary from having distinct stripes of gray to a more gradual transition from one shade of gray to another.
