For this vest, I chose to work in cool lavender hues with gray undertones, and gray locks of our Gotland wool. The gray and lavender, similar in value, provide a soothing palette. Harmony is achieved through the repetition of texture created by the locks of wool. For the most part, balance is achieved through symmetry. However, the top of the vest opening is slightly set to the side but then shifts to the center as you move to the bottom front of the vest. Locks of wool hang from the lower edge. On the back, I have carried the same colors and locks of wool for added texture and interest. The three silver closures give the piece a soft, almost delicate look.
