Preparing Your Family For The Event
Please read through the following information so that the event will be enjoyable and fun for your family.
➡️Take a few minutes to share with your children the importance of moving slowly and quietly around our sheep. Our flock is very friendly but quick movements and loud noises scare them and will put them in a run. Dogs and barking also scare them so we ask you to leave your pets at home.
➡️Dress appropriately for the weather and for walking on a hillside farm. Please note that our property is steep in places and we will be walking on uneven terrain.
➡️Please bring your own beverage and blanket for sitting on if you would like to purchase pizza. Pizza sales are cash or VENMO only.
➡️Books and accessories may be purchased with cash, VENMO, or credit cards. Pizza is cash only.
➡️We do not have a public bathroom available.
What’s happening:
- Book Signing: Meet Kim and get your very own copy of The Littlest Shepherd signed! Books cost $20 each. We will also have some fun accessory items for sale as well (blankets, coloring book, and stickers). The Littlest Shepherd captures the tender bond between a father and his young daughter as he teaches her how to care for a weak, newborn lamb on their farm. Through gentle guidance, the father models patience and responsibility, helping his daughter develop a deep sense of empathy for the lamb. As the young girl cares for the lamb, readers are introduced to the natural rhythms of farm life.
- Wood-Fired Pizza: Enjoy fresh pizza right out of our outdoor woodfired oven for $15 each (available while supplies last!). Pizza sales are cash or VENMO only. Please bring your own beverage and a picnic blanket to sit on.
- Kids’ Craft: A fun, hands-on activity to keep little hands creative. There may be some painting involved 😉 so dress your little ones appropriately.
- Sheep Photos: Have your photo taken with some of our sweet Gotland sheep who are the inspiration behind Kim’s book. Bring along your cell phone and we will help you capture a photo!
