This listing is for those wanting to take home a little bit of Kim’s entire flock of sheep in one hat!  Kim worked closely with her mill who knit lovely gray beanie hats out of her Gotland wool. The hat is knit with Gotland and fine wool. It is double thick for extra warmth with a merino wool band knit around the inner forehead for extra comfort. The hat fits adults with small-medium sized heads. This listing includes a 100% wool hat with a hardcover of the picture book, The Littlest Shepherd.

Kim is excited to bring you her first children’s picture book, The Littlest Shepherd. The story captures the tender bond between a father and his young daughter as he teaches her how to care for a weak, newborn lamb on their farm. Through gentle guidance, the father models patience and responsibility, helping his daughter develop a deep sense of empathy for the lamb. As the young girl cares for the lamb, readers are introduced to the natural rhythms of farm life. Inspiration for this story comes from a true story about a tiny lamb named Ramona  born on Grand View Farm. She was a triplet with two very big, very bold brothers who kept her from nursing. She grew weak and needed extra care and attention. The first ten days of her life were touch and go, requiring round the clock support.

The picture book is now at the printers where they will work their magic and turn Kim’s illustrations and text into a lovely book for little ones. The printing company was carefully selected as Kim is committed to printing a high quality hard cover picture book that can withstand the test of time and little hands lingering on its pages time and time again. Kim is now taking PRE-ORDERS for her picture book. Orders will be shipped as soon as books arrive from the printing company. The estimated shipping time is November 2026 but Kim is hopeful it may even be sooner!
