These hats are a true farm to fashion project – fully traceable – sustainably grown – lovingly raised – and knit in New England. Kim worked closely with a mill in Connecticut who knit lovely beanie hats out of her very own Gotland wool and llama fiber. First the mill processed the fiber and spun the yarn to the knitting specifications. The hats were then professionally knit with a perfect blend of grey Gotland lamb’s wool or llama fiber and fine wool. The Gotland wool hats have two layers of knit fabric for double the warmth to block winter winds. Merino wool was used in knitting the band around the inner forehead for extra comfort and softness. The hat fits adults with small-medium sized heads. The llama fiber hats are a deep wonderful brown and are knit with generous length so you can fold up the bottom edge for added warmth around your ears. The llama hat has much flexibility in sizing and fits adult sizes small to large.
